AUSKF Junior Nationals 2025 - Congratulations, and THANK YOU!

Team MWKF Juniors,

Thank you for all the dedication and effort you put into this tournament.  Matsuura Sensei and I are very proud of each and every one of you for the excellent display of kendo you put on this past weekend.  Notable achievements for Team MWKF:

Individuals:

9 Years and Under Division:  1st Place - Honoka Miyake

11 Years and Under Division:  1st Place - Shota Miyake

14 - 18 Years Girls:  3rd Place - Kirsten Choi

16 - 18 Years Boys:  Kantosho (Best 8) - Taichi Matsuura

Teams:

Youth Teams 11 Years and Under:  1st Place - Honoka Miyake, Shuntaro Tanaka, Shota Miyake

Congratulations to those that placed, and to all of our players that made the commitment to this tournament.  All competitors had some very strong performances, and I think everyone can agree that we still have lots to work on toward our future competitions.  Thank you to Yoshida Sensei and Hill Sensei, representing the MWKF as shinpan.  It's great to have representation from the Federation and it helps us to know there are familiar faces in the officiating crew!
